Everything burns around him. His torso is wet with a warm, sticky substance, causing his clothes to stick to him. To his right, he sees the lifeless bodies of his wife and his son in each other's arms. Her arm is stretched out as if she were reaching for him.Everything fades to black once again.When he comes to, there is nothing but excruciating pain. It feels as though fire licks at his insides, burns inside his veins. He cries out in agony. It feels as if it lasts years.He awakes days later with a hunger he never in his life dreamed he would know. He's in a jail cell in the center of town. His clothes and skin are covered in dried, cracked blood. He isn't sure if it's his own - not when several bodies lay before him, pale as the moon. There's no question he was the one who killed them, especially when he bares his fangs and claws at the wooden bars, the hunger for more nearly driving him insane.

Escaping from his captors isn't easy - not after being used as a mindless beast to kill for over a century - but she helps him. It feels like they can conquer anything together, and they do - for a decade or two. Until she leaves without a trace.He can't remember the heartbreak of losing his first love, but it must have felt like this. It's the first time he tries to end his life and how he learns he cannot die - at least he doesn't know the correct way to do it yet.

Like any immortal being, he spends his time traveling the world, picking up new skills and hobbies, going from partner to partner.It's the late 90s when he takes on the name Kim Nam-Seon and moves to Australia. He goes back and forth between Sydney and Melbourne, sometimes Perth. After a few hundred years of traveling, he's content to stay in one place for a while.Until he gets bored, needing a distraction from the repetition of loneliness and heartbreak. He thinks he's made himself too human after all these years spent reclaiming his humanity.When it's time to start over, he knows where to go. He gives himself an English name and moves to Seoul under the guise of being Australian-born. He is then Logan Kim, an aspiring actor who looks nothing like the man he was when he was last in Korea.

Even though he mostly gets support roles, Logan still manages to gain a large international fanbase. His fluency in English and his charm prove to be a money-maker, and eventually, after almost a decade in the industry, he lands his first international project.Currently, Logan lives in Los Angeles or New York, sometimes Vancouver. The vampire network on this continent is vastly unknown to him, as is any other beings lurking in the dark. Threats are always around the corner, especially as an immortal in the limelight in a time where the internet is literally in your pocket.He's experienced many a heartbreak in his time; what's one more or a dozen?
